ABSTRACT: The Impact of Cultural Awareness Training on Vocational Educators investigates the effects of cultural awareness training on vocational educators' teaching practices and student interactions. This study explores how cultural competence training enhances educators' ability to understand and support culturally diverse students in vocational settings. The objectives were: to assess the effectiveness of cultural awareness programs in improving educators' knowledge and skills in addressing cultural diversity, to evaluate the impact of cultural competence on educator-student relationships and learning outcomes, and to identify challenges and best practices in implementing cultural awareness training in vocational education. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from vocational educators who participated in cultural awareness training programs, providing insights into their experiences and perceived impact on teaching practices. A sample size of 200 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include educators from diverse vocational disciplines and educational backgrounds. The case study focused on the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State. Findings indicated that cultural awareness training improved educators' ability to create inclusive learning environments, fostered positive student engagement, and enhanced cross-cultural communication skills. It is recommended that vocational institutions should integrate ongoing cultural competence training into professional development programs for educators, establish supportive policies and resources for diversity initiatives, and promote a culturally responsive curriculum to ensure equitable learning experiences for all students.
